SEBM has been a leader in facilitating interaction among biomedical sciences primarily through the publication of Experimental Biology and Medicine (EBM). Published monthly (except August), EBM provides both research and review articles as well as meeting symposia and brief communications. Articles represent cutting edge research as the overlapping junctions of the biological, physical and engineering sciences that impact on the health and welfare of the world's population. Best Paper Award

In 2001 the SEBM has established a Best Paper Award for the best paper published each year in Experimental Biology and Medicine. One award will recognize an outstanding research paper in the experimental biology area, and another award will recognize an outstanding research paper in the clinical, preclinical or traslational research area. An Award Panel will make these two selections, with a cash award to be presented to the first author of each paper.
