Regular Membership
The central determining requirement for membership is an active involvement in a scientific career in experimental biology or biomedical research evidenced by receipt of a doctoral level degree and evidence of independent research and publication of original articles in reviewed journals.
Duties and privileges:
  • Hold office and committee membership.
  • Vote at meetings and at elections.
  • Sponsor meeting abstracts.
  • Receipt of EBM at member rate.
  • Attend SEBM scientific meetings at member rate.

Postdoctoral Membership $30

Postdoctoral Membership
Available to any postdoctoral trainee.
Duties and privileges:
  • Hold office and committee membership.
  • Vote at meetings and at elections.
  • Sponsor meeting abstracts.
  • Receipt of EBM at member rate.
  • Attend SEBM scientific meetings at member rate.

Student Membership FREE

Student Membership
Any student who is an undergraduate or graduate student in an area related to research in experimental biology or medicine, as endorsed by her/his research advisor/major professor.
Length of membership: Until completion of the undergraduate degree or attainment of full-time employment other than student fellowship/assistantship.

Duties and privileges:
  • Receipt of EBM at member rate.
  • Attend SEBM scientific meetings at member rate.
  • Hold SEBM council office.
  • Vote at meetings and elections.

Your SEBM membership includes a subscription to Experimental Biology and Medicine as well as other benefits of membership.

Curriculum Vitae with Bibliography
Regular and Associate Member Applicants should submit a resume or curriculum vitae, including a complete list of publications. Co-authors, title of publication in full, journal, volume, year and full pagination must be included.  Exclude articles not yet accepted for publication. Abstracts, reviews, and books of which you are author should be listed separately.
